As designs change and evolve.
Practical color development.

As a material used by designers, the color selection of Cutting Sheet® is supervised by the designer. In 1986, under the supervision of Kazumitsu Tanaka, the number of colors increased to 100. In 2015, under the supervision of Kenya Hara, the product lineup was expanded to 264 colors. The new colors in this series include "Selected White" that pursues the concept of "white" in space, "Neutral Gray" that enriches the level of expression, and covers unprecedented low saturation. The color palette has evolved over time, with the addition of “light tones” and “gray tones” options, in line with the needs of the times.

The real value of Cutting Sheet® lies in its ease of handling as a material.

Cutting Sheet® is a well thought out material that can shape your designs. By giving the sheet substrate the right amount of stiffness and flexibility, we can make the sheet easier to handle during processing and construction, and allow for fine cuts as well as easy cleanup.

The best choice for decorative panels, design and technical space creation.

About 50 years have passed since its creation. When it was first launched, Cutting Sheet® was used as a color material for signs, and its versatility won high praise from designers and construction shops as a unique "design material" for creating spaces.

Reference example of color scheme for cutting sheet material using image ratio

People's impressions of colors vary from person to person, but they have many commonalities. Image scale is the image common sense accumulated and clarified through psychological research. The basic image scale has a color scheme expressing monochrome, adjectives, and adjective-verbs on the WARM-COOL and SOFT-HARD axes, which are the criteria for image judgment. Here you can see visual examples of appropriate color schemes by selecting a word that matches your theme (your favorite image, a client's image, etc.).
